Dept. of Ed. To Move 2 Vital Offices FREE Digital Download
This FREE downloadable resource is a brief overview of the Department of Education’s recent announcement of their intent to move 2 vital Accessible Education offices without congressional approval. They plan to move OSERS (Office of *Accessible Education & Rehabilitative Services) to HHS under RFK Jr., and OCR (Office of Civil Rights) to the DOJ. Days later, the DOJ released an opinion attacking the validity of the Olmsted decision, in which the Supreme Court upheld the integration mandate of Section 504, which protects the right of disabled people to live, learn, work, and thrive in community instead of institutions (you can find my free resource on that here). All of this comes on the heels of Texas v. Kennedy, an active lawsuit in which states are also attacking the integration mandate of Section 504 (you can find my free resource on that here).
